Tesla has made significant changes to its Cybertruck lineup, discontinuing the cheapest Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) model and increasing prices across the board. The RWD Cybertruck, which was once priced at $60,990, is no longer available for purchase.
The next-in-line All-Wheel Drive (AWD) Cybertruck has seen a significant price hike of $20,000, now costing $99,990. The tri-motor version of the truck, known as the Cyberbeast, has also increased in price to $119,990, up from $99,990. This represents a whopping $39,000 increase in the EV’s price floor.
These price changes are especially notable when compared to Tesla’s original announcement in 2019, which stated that the Cybertruck would start at $39,990. The updated prices are as follows:
On the bright side, Tesla has updated its delivery timeline for the Cybertruck. The AWD model is now expected to be delivered between August and September 2024, while the Cyberbeast is expected to arrive between October and December 2024. This represents a significant improvement from the original estimated delivery date of 2025.
