The Silent Hill 2 Remake will be exclusive to PlayStation 5 for one year, as confirmed by a new “immersion” trailer. The highly-anticipated remake from Bloober Team will become available on “other formats” on 8th October, 2025.
Although the remake was previously announced as a PC and PS5 console exclusive, the exclusivity period was not specified until now. The “other formats” that the game will be available on after the exclusivity period are still unclear.

For those who can’t wait until the official release, a Japanese content creator has streamed the first 90 minutes of the game on YouTube. Additionally, Tom Morgan shared his thoughts on the opening hours of the remake in Eurogamer’s Silent Hill 2 Remake preview.
The remake will also feature the option to remove all UI elements and add a “90s filter” for a more retro experience.
