Samsung’s response to the world’s slimmest foldable phone, the Honor Magic V3, is allegedly on its way. Recent leaks showcase the purported design of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 SE (Special Edition), a slim version of the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 SE is expected to have a 10.6mm profile, significantly thinner than the Fold 6’s 12.1mm profile. Although it’s not as slim as the Magic V3’s 9.2mm profile, it’s still an improvement.
A recent image showcasing the design of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 SE reveals its similarities and differences with the regular Fold 6. While it has flat edges and almost rectangular corners, the new design includes a larger camera protrusion and a different rear glass panel.
Availability and Launch Date
Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 6 SE sometime in the coming weeks. It’ll reportedly go on sale by late September, but its initial availability might be limited to China and Korea, with no word on international market releases.
The purported design of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 SE may not be official, but Samsung’s slim version is sure to cause a stir in the foldable phone market.
Samsung’s response to the Honor Magic V3’s slim design has been in the works for months, and we finally might have a glimpse of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 SE’s design. While it may not be entirely new, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 SE seems to feature some key design enhancements that users have been looking for.
The ongoing competition for the thinnest foldable phone is getting fierce. Last year, Honor’s Magic V2 featured a 9.9mm profile, while Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 only reached 12.1mm. This month, Honor unveiled the Magic V3, the world’s slimmest foldable phone, with an impressive 9.2mm profile. It’s safe to say Samsung has some catching up to do.
The Rumored Design of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 SE
The recently leaked image appears to be the Galaxy Z Fold 6 SE, a phone that is rumored to be thinner and have a more rectangular camera module design. Although, there’s a chance it won’t be the slimmest device in the market. Leaks suggest it will be around 10.6mm in thickness, noticeably thicker than the Magic V3.
