According to Twitter user TezFunz2, Rockstar accidentally included metadata for the first Red Dead Redemption game on PC with its new launcher update. Additionally, the game has shown up on Steam’s database, indicating a potential release on that platform.
The leak suggests that Rockstar is preparing to release Red Dead Redemption on PC, despite no official announcement. This is not the first time a leak has pointed to a PC release, as previous rumors have surfaced, including a screenshot from a Rockstar launcher site file and an Epic Games Store database leak.
Red Dead Redemption was first released for Xbox 360 and PS3 back in 2010, and received modern ports to Switch and PS4 in 2023. Its sequel received a PC port back in 2019, so it’s about time that its predecessor does the same.
