To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the PlayStation brand, Sony has announced a limited edition classic-coloured console range featuring the newly-announced PlayStation 5 Pro and the PS5 Digital Edition. Both consoles will sport a retro grey finish, reminiscent of the original PlayStation console.
The consoles will come with a matching grey-coloured DualSense controller, and the PS5 Pro will also include a DualSense Edge. Additionally, a grey PlayStation Portal will be available. The consoles will have classic-coloured PlayStation logos and textured plastic with the PlayStation symbols embossed in.
The entire range will only be available “while supplies last”, with only 12,300 30th Anniversary PS5 Pro consoles being produced. Each console will be individually numbered. Pre-orders will open on 26th September via direct.playstation.com, ahead of the range’s release on 21st November.
The consoles will be packaged with a DualSense controller and include a retro PlayStation controller cable, four cable ties themed to the four PlayStation controller button shapes, a PlayStation sticker, a PlayStation poster, and a PlayStation paperclip.
The first PlayStation console launched in Japan on 3rd December 1994, and this limited edition range is a great way for fans to celebrate the brand’s 30th anniversary.
