Broken Sword Nintendo Switch Release Delayed Until October

The Nintendo Switch version of Broken Sword – Shadow of the Templars: Reforged has been delayed by another month, while other platforms will still receive the game on September 19th.

Delayed Quality Assurance

The delay for the Switch version is to ensure the quality of play remains equally high across all versions of the game, according to Revolution Software. Although no further specific details have been provided, the game is expected to be released in October.

Remaster Features

The remaster of the original point-and-click adventure will include:

  • Enhanced graphics and sound
  • A new Story Mode with quality of life improvements
  • Subtle hints to help players solve puzzles
  • Tweaks to inconsistencies found in the original game
  • Alterations to moments of representation
  • Players can switch between modern and original versions of the game at any time.

    Future Plans

After the release of Broken Sword – Shadow of the Templars: Reforged, Revolution Software is set to release the all-new Broken Sword 6. Creator Charles Cecil shared more information about the upcoming game during last year’s Gamescom.
