If you’re looking to upgrade to a next-generation Windows laptop, you can now enjoy the best of both worlds – speed and privacy. Private Internet Access (PIA), one of the top VPN services, has launched an ARM-native Windows VPN app.
This means that Windows users can now use their VPN software on devices powered by the super-fast Snapdragon X Elite chip without any limitations. PIA is one of the few providers offering an ARM-native app for Windows, with more services expected to join the list soon.
According to Himmat Bains, Head of Product at PIA, the biggest technical hurdle was rebuilding their software natively from scratch for ARM. However, with this launch, PIA’s Windows platform is now up to parity with its Linux and macOS offerings.
Other notable VPN services, such as Windscribe and Surfshark, also offer ARM-native Windows VPN apps, while NordVPN, ExpressVPN, and ProtonVPN are working on their versions.
